Impressions of Fine Art Nature Photography

The truly amazing thing about fine art nature photography is all that it can inspire . You see a photo of a majestic vista and it is as if you’re really there – you seem to be a part of it – you end up feeling awe at the beauty and wonder. And that is the impression photographers wish to instill on everyone and anyone who see their photos .

The impression that photography of nature make on every individual is as subjective as the photography itself . If three people look at the same fine art photograph , they all may get a different impression . A bad impression may be made on one person from the photography, a great impression on another and a totally different impression on the third person .

Look at a duck photograph in its own habitat. One person looks at it and immediately comments how beautiful the colorings in the duck’s wings are . How the duck’s reflection is so crisp and clear that it look as though another duck was swimming right next to him . Those drops of water that cling to the duck looks like small diamonds lying there on the beautiful warm brown duck feathers. Now, the second person looks at the fine art nature photo of the duck and comments that the water looks dirty and that the duck is looking sad. And the third person may shrug and state … “it’s just a duck.” “so, it’s a photo of a duck.”

Of course, a fine art photographer of nature definitely hopes that his photography makes more of an impression than a simple shrug of the shoulders and a comment like, “it’s a duck.” Of course, this is how photography of nature can leave an impression – honest, open, and of course, subjective . And for nature enthusiasts , this type of photography is embedded in their life .

Fine art nature photography allows viewers to go to that very place . When you look at a photo of waves crashing against jagged rocks long enough , you’ll soon feel like you are right there – you can just about feel the warm sea breeze , smell the salt water and hear the sounds of the water as it crashes on the rocks . That is the impression nature photography is intended to give .

Our lives include fine art photographs of nature by hanging them on the wall at home, used as our favorite savers on our computer screens , and they even are put on t-shirts to wear. Impressions of fine art nature photography – whether indifferent, bad, or good – lets us have an opinion of our own about what we like and don’t like . They are able to make an impression that lasts forever.
