Choosing a Wedding Photographer Made Easy

A wedding is one of the most important events that will occur in a person’s life. Hours and hours go into all of the planning for the wedding. All of the tasks that go into wedding planning can be time consuming, stressful and very frustrating at times. That’s why it is crucial that your homework is done when trying to find good people for all the jobs.  One of the most important jobs is that of the photographer. From my experience as a San Diego wedding photographer I’ll show you it can be a few simple steps away.

Finding any wedding photographer is a huge task. There are a few important factors to think about when you make this important decision. The photographs that you get from your wedding day will be some of the most memorable moments that you. The photos will be hanging on your walls for the rest of yourlife. One of the most obvious factors when choosing any photographer is price. Many photographers will charge a price for a certain length of time at the wedding. It is important to know what will be included with that price up front
price. When it comes to finding a wedding photographer, the biggest upside to pricing is there is a lot of competition. Keep in mind that many photographers are willing to negotiate their price a little to fit what you need.

Another thing to think about and consider when choosing is the experience a person may have. Is this their first wedding job, or have they done a few? Their price may reflect how long they have been in business as well. Just because someone is experienced, doesn’t always translate into being a better photographer. Sometimes the photographers that are just starting their careers and are trying to build a name will turn out to be excellent. The advantage of a person like that and going with them is you know they are going to give it their best. In your search for a wedding photographer, you are going to find different levels of experience between them. Doing an interview with a photographer can give you a good sense of what they will be like to work with.

A final thing for you to take into account when trying to decide is the personality the photographer has. Are they going to call all the shots and make all of the poses? Or are they going to let the bride and groom make some decisions? Another thing to think about is whether or not you want to be the one to make the important decisions on the photos. The bride and groom might have enough to worry about that day as it is. Take all of these things into account when considering which photographer to choose. If you do, you are going to have a lot of wonderful pictures to cherish for the rest of your lives.  Take it from me, your experienced San Diego photographer.

What a brilliant summary of the process of choosing a wedding photographer… you took the words right out of my mouth. Only one other thing to add… A lot of people choose purely on price; some choose because they’ve seen just a few great photos; but you really need to establish that your photographer can adapt to any situation, any weather, any eventuality, whilst keeping his cool, and consistently turn out hundreds of great photos at every single wedding. I see 100s of non-wedding customers every year who say “I wish we’d had you as our wedding photographer”, and it’s usually because they chose theirs for the wrong reasons and regretted it afterwards.
