D40X
Nikon’s smallest digital SLR combines a 10.2-megapixel CCD with a simple, intuitive operation designed to take great, high-resolution pictures for everyone. The D40X is scheduled to launch worldwide on March 29, 2007 and is a sister model to the D40, which has a 6.1-megapixel CCD.
D80
Announced August 2006. The D80 digital SLR features a new 10.2 effective megapixel DX Format CCD image sensor, a 0.18 seconds start-up time, and a 80 millisecond shutter lag.
AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED
Announced August 2006. A high-performance telephoto zoom lens that offers Nikon’s most advanced features such as Nikon Extra Low Dispersion (ED) glass, Silent Wave Motor (SWM) and enhanced Vibration Reduction (VRII), as well as optics perfected for use with both Nikon DX format digital and 35mm film SLR cameras.
AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED
Announced August 2006. A compact, lightweight 7.5x zoom lens featuring a host of state-of-the-art optical technologies such as the Nikon ED glass element, aspherical lens elements and SWM (Silent Wave Motor). Moreover, the AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED offers outstanding performance at a remarkably affordable price.
COOLPIX S7c, S7 and S8
Announced August 2006. Three slim, sophisticated digital compact cameras with vibration reduction. Combining 7.1 effective megapixels of imaging performance with a 35-105mm (35mm equivalent) Zoom-Nikkor ED lens. They each feature a large, bright LCD monitor with an unusually wide 170-degree viewing angle (COOLPIX S7c and S7: 3.0-inch, S8: 2.5-inch). The COOLPIX S7c offers the additional benefit of built-in IEEE 802.11b/g LAN support and with a Wi-Fi antenna set unobtrusively into its stylish body.
COOLPIX S9
Announced August 2006. A high-quality compact digital camera that packs 6.1 megapixels and a range of easy-to-use functions into a slim, sophisticated wave-surface body.
COOLPIX S10
Announced August 2006. Packing powerful imaging performance, 10x zoom capability and a stylish swivel design into compact dimensions, the COOLPIX S10 makes it easy to take great-looking shots from more imaginative angles. The COOLPIX S10 features 6.0-effective megapixel image resolution as well as a built-in 38-380mm (35mm equivalent) 10x Zoom-Nikkor lens, and a 2.5 inch viewing screen.
COOLPIX L5
Announced August 2006. The L5 comes with a 38-190mm Zoom-Nikkor lens (35mm equivalent) and lens shift Vibration Reduction (VR) technology. It has 7.2 effective megapixels, and a large, bright 2.5-inch LCD with backlight that greatly eases composing superb images and then playing them back.
COOLPIX L6
Announced August 2006. The L6 has 6.0 effective megapixels, an optical 3x Zoom-Nikkor lens with a focal range of 38-116mm (35mm equivalent), a 2.5 inch viewing screen, and the lowest power usage in the world for a 3x zoom compact camera, as of June 2006. The L6 can shoot up to an incredible 1,000 images when using the supplied Energizerâ„¢ lithium AA-size batteries!
D2Xs
Announced June 2006. The D2Xs shares many performance and design innovations with the D2X. It also offers Nikon’s acclaimed DX-format CMOS image sensor capturing 12.4 million effective pixels per image, producing 4,288 x 2,848-pixel images with the high resolution and sharp detail needed for demanding professional assignments. Professional high speed performance is realized through the D2Xs’s ability to capture 12.4 megapixel JPEG images or RAW images at a rate of up to 5 frames per second in continuous shooting mode, while continuous shooting at a rate of up to 8 frames per second is made possible through use of the High-Speed Crop mode that captures a more specific, central area of the frame at 6.8 megapixel resolution. The D2Xs also has the world's fastest shutter release time lag of just 37ms.
