It’s not so hard to buy a digital photo printing device. Only people that need a printer for administration and accounting purposes will consider matrix printers. You need an ink jet printer for quality photos, even if it returns a slightly higher price than the matrix printers.
This means that for digital photo printing you need to consider quality first and costs last. Pictures are made for color, so the printer must be one that has colored ink. If you need a printer on witch you indeed to print photos, then you are strongly advice to orientate towards the Ink Jet printers, with are less expensive than laser printers and also can return better quality. Of course, the question “Black/White or Color?†will arise at some point in your search. You could be printing only black and white graphing, for a local magazine or other purposes, then there’s no need to buy a color printer. But if you intend to use your digital photo printing device properly, and print both color and black and white graphics, then you must choose a color Ink Jet, that has, if possible, the text Photo Printer or For Photos, specified in its description.
